Prom Praise 4 Schools 2024 - King David

Imagine the splendour of Prom Praise and merge thousands of primary school children onto the Royal Albert Hall stage. That, in a nutshell, is our exceptional, interactive, educational Prom Praise for Schools ministry outreach.

Primary schools across London and beyond unite to form a Massed Choir of more than 2,500 children between Year 4 and Year 6, accompanied by the All Souls Orchestra. The project features a Bible story and music from different Christian traditions along with well-loved classical pieces. It is a child-friendly version of the annual Prom Praise event which fills the Royal Albert Hall each Spring.

Once schools have registered, they receive all the materials needed to teach the musical programme to the children participating, as well as the faith context. This format bridges a tangible gap in music and faith education in the country’s primary curriculum, giving thousands of youngsters the opportunity to experience the possibilities of music and the promises of God.

Prom Praise for Schools commits to supporting schools and helping them to meet the music and religious education curriculum requirements effectively by offering excellent resources, professional workshops and an opportunity to bring learning to life through high quality experience.

Over 30,000 children and teachers have joined us at the Royal Albert Hall since our beginnings. Will you continue that story?

What they say...

Upward Chevron

‘The musical programme was inspired and the presenters, orchestra, choir and soloists equally so. As a parent I was delighted that my daughter was able to be part of such a fantastic and fun-filled evening, which I am sure will be a cherished memory for both her and her friends for a long time to come.'

‘Prom Praise is an exciting mind-blowing adventure where you sing your hearts out. I was nervous and yet I was excited.'

‘I loved Prom Praise and experienced how the orchestra played their instruments. I also got to learn the story of the Lost Son.'

‘While it’s still so fresh in our minds – a huge thank you for yesterday from all of us at St Stephen’s C of E. Your organisation was impeccable, down to having a wordsearch in the programme! It will be a night for the children to remember and one for me just seeing so many happy faces.'
