This Hillsong version of a classic hymn teaches us that there is no steady foundation other than Christ the cornerstone. For the Christian, there is hope in life because of the saving work of Jesus. We hope not ‘in the sweetest frame’ but instead trust in the saviour and his righteousness. When we trust in Christ’s finished work at the cross we don’t have to despair in life’s trials, but rather hope for the final day when we’ll be with Him.
