While Shepherds Watched – Worship Set

A thrilling brass band style arrangement of ‘While Shepherds Watched’ by one of our orchestrators, Daniel Woolley – set to the folk tune ‘On Ilkley Moor Bar T’at’ also known as ‘Cranbrook’. Interestingly, ‘While Shepherds Watched’ was the first carol to cross over from secular traditions and be approved by the Church of England in the eighteenth century. It makes a fun contribution to the Carol Service.
